Meeting called to order by Jim @ 7:00 PM Secretary’s Report: Minutes were passed around and Bud made a motion to accept the amended minutes, Larry seconded. Motion passed. Treasurer report: John will accept dues at anytime, he also indicated that due to the low involvement at the fund raisers dues may have to be increased, this will be discussed at the January Meeting. Batteries for the trailer were paid for through donations made by Bud AB9PD, Howard KC9IVJ, Dan W9DLB, and Larry KC9QJL. Bud made a motion to accept, Howard seconded, motion passed. Old Business: 1) Christmas Party December 9, @ CJ’s Italian Restaurant @ 7:00 PM. John let the group know that there should be 8 menu items to choose from, and we will need to have a count for the restaurant, by December 1. 2) VE Testing December 12, @ 9:00 AM @ The Mauston City Hall 4th Floor Community Room. All elements will be tested. There will be a breakfast at The Hearty Platter @ 8:00 AM prior to the test session. Howard indicated that we will due a test session in Camp Douglas when their group gets 5 participants. 3) Hatch Library Display for the month of November. We need help with the live demo on the 17th 4) The Monday night meetings that are held the Monday prior to the regular monthly meetings are open to all the members and non-members alike. They will be in the future refered to as the Monday night Zilch. Hope to see you there. 5) The 147.210 will be down for repairs. Thanks for your patience. ARES/RACES 1) Congratulations to Howard Fischer on his appointment of Juneau County Emergency Coordinator. Thank you Skip Sharpe for your help in this matter. 2) The ARES/RACES conference was attended this year by Howard, John, and Nancy. Some good information was passed this year. They also participated in a Halloween Patrol. There is some discussion about having one in Juneau County next year. 3) Christmas Parade. We will be having a decorating get together on Sunday the 15th @ 1:00PM. 4) John brought up some items for discussion in January. A) ARES/RACES id’s B) Resource worksheets C) Committees for the Trailer, Fund Raising D) Making Go Bags for operating in our specific areas, EOC, Hospital, Trailer, Etc.
