There was a general discussion to go around at a Wed meeting or weekends, to the different emergency locations in the county ( Hess Memorial, EOC, Elroy Fire, Necedah Fire and any other locations) that are set up for emergency communications to let the members become familiar with each location and what equipment is available to use at various sites. 2. Another idea is to put on a demo for some of our county emergency officials, so they can become familiar with what can do in an emergency. 3. There be a Hamfest on March 14th, 2010 in Jefferson City. 4. Bruce L. will keep members informed on the progress of the Triathlon for this year since there will be several changes we will be needing more people and may have to use 2 repeaters. Updates as they are available. 5. Glen will be checking out the comm. trailer furnace sometime before the months end. 6. Bud K had a call to possibly have the VE secessions placed on a public service announcement on the radio station in Adams Co. 7. Larry is looking for some ideas for changing up the weekly nets. Possibly running a simplex net or having some message handling. If anyone has any other ideas give Larry a call and he’ll get the ball rolling on the net. 8. There will be a VE Testing Secession on March 13th at 9:00AM at Mauston City Hall, 4th floor Community Room. 9. John has been working on getting Pay Pal set up for members to pay for club dues and possibly have a membership form set up in a PDF format for those wishing to join. With nothing further for the club meeting, Larry adjourned this portion of the meeting at 7:40 PM. In the absence of Howard, Gary S. gave the Ares/Races portion of the meeting. Gary passed around some sheets on break tags and a sheet for a severe weather report. We had some very interesting discussion regarding using the forms properly and using only language that is necessary from the break tags sheet for message handling and emergency communications. Thank you for you very informative and useful presentation. A motion was made by Jason and was second by Jim to adjourn the meeting. Larry adjourned the meeting at 8:13 PM The next meeting will be held on March 10, 2010 at 7PM at Mauston City Hall 4th floor Community Room.
