Chile Cook-off: John DallaValle is in charge of organizing and gave a brief report to the members present. After meeting with the Bash Committee it has been decided this event will only be one day on Saturday for about 2- 3 hours or as long as the chili holds out. We will also have a bread contest coinciding with this also. More updates to follow. Nancy will be taking care of obtaining the community room and paying for the post office box when it is time for their renewal. VE Testing secessions are available at Bud W. house on Sunday mornings for new licenses and for upgrades. Contact Bud if interested. Just a reminder our ID tags will be expiring in December so we will have to get together for updating them.
With nothing further for club business the floor was turned over to Howard at 7:36PM for the Ares/Races portion of this meeting. Motion made by John and second by Howard to adjourn. Approved.
Howard started this meeting by mentioning the article in QST Magazine regarding the 2010 SET Test and how well Juneau Cty did on it. John N mentioned he has written to Steve Ewald and read all who were present his response. Howard thanked all for a job well done.
4th of July Parade in Adams: Had 10 Operators and things went fairly smooth. Still need to address a few issues but all went very well. Fund raisers: Bruce L. is still checking on Wo Zha Wa Days with John Hamm. Triathlon Updates: It is still scheduled for Sept 24th. Larry D and Terry (Vernon Co.) will incident commanders for this event. There has been an idea to involve the Sheriffs Dept. and Wonewoc facilities more this year. 2011 SET Test: Saturday Oct 1. We will be assisting Vernon Co with another Triathlon Funding. More details to follow. Trailer updates: Funding has been slow in coming but it is still a work in progress and some progress has been made. Kickapoo Kicker update: there will be a meeting at St Joes Hospital on Tuesday July 19th at 6:30PM. We could have used more members to cover certain areas. There were checks sent out by race officials for some mileage reimbursement.
With nothing further the entire meeting was adjourned at 8:10PM. Next Zilch is scheduled for August 8th at 7PM at KwikTrip, with the monthly meeting on Wed August 10th, 7PM at Mauston City Hall 3th floor Community Room.
